Huge thanks to everyone who tuned in to our short but sweet Live, including Bob Daniel, Kassandra Ignored 🤓, and Grey Galaxie (over whom I had a ridiculous but sincere fanboi moment. LOL Sorry, Grey!)

We kicked off talking about my desperate search for a remote job in the wilds of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and the piece of flash fiction I wrote yesterday for Earth Day, The Last Bloom. Please check it out if you have a moment.

Dana shared the background of her latest piece, a moving and deeply felt rumination over her daughter’s search for a college on their recent trip to Dublin, contrasted with Dana’s own search for a place where her family might feel safe in the current and coming turbulence of Trump 2.0. Read her wonderful piece here:

Finally, we spend a moment talking about a “Sudden Stop”—a financial trend that Paul Krugman talked about in a short piece yesterday. It’s fascinating and terrifying, because it might be happening here, to the US economy, for the first time in history.

Lastly - Join us tomorrow morning for “The Daily Whatever”, where we’ll talk about the news of the day, things we’re dealing with, and always, and open invite to contribute to the chat and Ask Us Anything. We’ll be doing this every morning for the foreseeable future at 7am Pacific, and 10am Eastern.

Love you, mean it! Bye!
