Many times issues arise at the work place because of what an employee describes as a 'mean boss' or an 'overbearing boss' or a 'yeye oga' (oga means boss in Nigerian Pidgin). These are descriptions we can actually relate to in some way whether we sit in (or own) a large office as a top management staff in our current organisations, or we are merely rookies on the job or we even own our businesses. Maybe some subordinates have even described us like this before... Whatever the situation with us, especially if we occupy the employer position, somewhere, we were once the rookie employee... Today it's all about finding out what to do concerning maintaining better employer-employee relationships as we climb the career ladder. We must learn to be excellent employers by being true to ourselves. We must be transformational leaders, and not slave masters/drivers or extremist bosses or hypocrite/vain employers.
