Hey guys, it's Scott.
It is Wednesday, September 3rd. We are in the midst of back to school nuttiness over at our house. But we are also in the final days before DC K.O. #1 goes to print. So it is double craziness when it comes to work. And so I just wanted to do a really quick post reminding you of three big things:
First, the last day to order K.O. #1 is Monday. If you don't order it by Monday and it sells out, which it will very likely do because it's got big surprises, twists and turns (we're going to be announcing stuff spinning out of it the week that it comes out), you won't be able to get it. That happens with a lot of the Absolute books. I'm just really, really strongly encouraging you to order from your local store now before Monday so you have a copy reserved for yourself before final orders close Monday. That's FOC Monday the 8th.
Second, if you are a retailer or you know a retailer and you want them to get in on this and see everything in issue #1, we are so excited and proud of this beginning to our big fall event, DC K.O. We're going to be selling and spoiling pretty much the whole issue with retailers and answering all kinds of questions, giving teases of things coming up later, reviewing stuff. We're going to just sort of go crazy on it. But this is the retailer call that we're doing tomorrow, Thursday, September 4th in the afternoon with any retailer that signed up through D.C. There'll probably be quite a few hundred there. So if you want to get in on it as a retailer, just email D.C. It's included here, the email address by the greatest assistant, Tyler, and come join us and have some fun. It's going to be a real party tomorrow. Can't wait.
Third, Joshua Williamson and I, the architects of K.O., are going to do a livestream tomorrow night. Not exactly sure what time yet. We're still figuring it out, but it'll probably be somewhere around 9:30 or 10:00pm EST because we have kids. Got to get them up to bed. But it'll be your chance to come in, ask us anything you want, and we'll be talking to each other about the event. We'll probably spoil a couple things if you want, or tease things at least. If you don't like spoilers, we'll try and avoid them. But anyway, this week is all about K.O. We're really excited. I hope you'll join us for some of this fun stuff in order now. There's some awesome covers, variant covers. Ty will put some in here.
We just can't wait to have this giant party with you for this event. It's a big, fun, knockdown, drag out storyline. And what it does is it really sets the tone for all the stuff we want to do in 2026. It's over the top, and again, you buy into this and it's going to affect the whole line and it launches a bunch of really cool stuff on the other side so it's the beginning of all of our spring initiative stuff. So we're really really thrilled to have you be a part.
Also, don't miss today—Batman #1 by pal Matt Fraction and brother Jorge Jiménez. It marks the start of a brand new era for Batman. They have some incredible plans. I'm really, really excited just as a fan and I can't wait for you guys to see what they have cooked up. You don't get a Batman #1 very often in history and today's one of those special days.
So go out and check it out among all the other great comics coming out, there are too many to name here. I don't want to overtax Tyler on a busy week. So thank you guys. Happy start of fall. Happy back to school. Let's get KO'd!

Monday is also Final Order Cut-Off day for Good Devils Don’t Play Fair with Evil, an awesome one-shot by my Absolute Batman partner Nick Dragotta and the great writer/editor David Brothers (he actually edited me on the first Wytches series)!
