Rooted in observational filmmaking, Purrniverse follows real moments of art-making, reflection, ritualized gesture, and shared presence within community settings. The film privileges atmosphere over explanation, allowing meaning to emerge through visual motifs, sound, repetition, and pause. In this work, ritual functions as cinematic language rather than belief system, offering a universally legible way to organize time, attention, and emotional experience.
The project is designed to be modular and flexible, with each chapter functioning as a self-contained movement that can stand alone or be woven into a feature-length film. This structure allows Purrniverse to live across broadcast, streaming, festival, and community contexts.
