Description

The Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra concluded its first ever Japan tour at the Kyoto Concert Hall last Saturday under the baton of Lin Daye, SZSO’s MD and President.

The tour is intended to be a cultural bridge between musicians in China and Japan and also aims to bring them closer to understand each other better, said Lin shortly before the first sold-out concert in Japan at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall on November 4th.

The orchestra has stopped in Tokyo, Nagoya and Kyoto in its inaugural Japan tour, staging two concerts of one programme that feature Chinese, Japanese and Western music, plus one educational programme that includes two masterclasses and one concert at the Nagoya College of Music spotlighting young Japanese soloists and a conductor.

Some critics and industrial insiders think that the Shenzhen Symphony has delivered a powerful sound.

This is a Chinese, Japanese and English language programme with Chinese, Japanese and English subtitles.
