In this video, I breakdown a list of 20 things that I saw from Dave Ramsey on how to practically save money. I go through and talk through if it is too extreme or on point and we should strive to do.

  1. Stay away from Debt
  2. Cut grocery bill. Stay away from the aisles in stores. Everything you need is on the exterior of most stores. 
  3. Cancel automatic subscriptions and memberships
  4. Name Brands NEED to go BYE BYE
  5. Cancel your cable bill
  6. Save automatically, pay yourself first whenever you get a pay check
  7. When you get extra unexpected money, put it towards your big goals. Do not see it as free money
  8. Reduce your power bill by going the extra step to learn about your power usage and ways to cut it down
  9. Unsubscribe from discount emails that are created to create a feeling of FOMO
  10. How much are you paying for insurance? Maybe shop around for a new insurance
  11. Eat at home more often
  12. Always ask for a discount and use coupons when you have it. Everyone else be ignored
  13. Use your employer's 401(k)
  14. Maybe change your cell phone bill if it is way too high
  15. Try a spending freeze rather than just swiping your card all the time
  16. Try to DIY somethings, Youtube is a GREAT teacher
  17. Coffee you already know this one
  18. Libraries will always have free books. Check here for books you do not need to keep
  19. Staycation over Vacations
  20. Try a minimalist life and sell all the clutter
