Description

Episode 10 - After the intensity of last week’s New Jersey episode, Carla and Robyn decide it’s time to take a break from the Housewives franchise. On this week’s podcast, the besties dip their toes into the larger Housewives universe with Bravo’s Love Hotel. Divorcées Shannon Storms Beader (Orange County), Gizelle Bryant (Potomac), Ashley Darby (Potomac), and Luann de Lesseps (New York) mix and mingle with a group of eligible bachelors in the hopes of finding romance and – perhaps – even marriage!

Sweet bachelor Earl is the clear favorite for Robyn and Carla, though they both admit it’s too early in the series for the Housewives to set their sights on just one Romeo. Carla finds solidarity with the bachelors who admit they’ve never seen an episode of the Housewives and Robyn enjoys watching Luann act on brand as the Countess casts a wide net to catch the most handsome man at the hotel.

And here are the men Carla and Robyn were discussing from this week’s episode of Love Hotel.

And let’s talk more about THAT $25,000 TACO!

Other Fun Stuff we chatted about:

Robyn went to the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books:

She couldn’t believe it when she saw literal BUBBLES at one of the booths and then discovered that the author wrote a book ABOUT THE REAL HOUSEWIVES!

It’s called Fame By Misadventure. By Will Sterling

Chinatown Meets Real Housewives in this Hollywood “Whydunit”.

I mean, WHAT?! That’s perfect. Robyn chatted with the author (who is super nice). And Carla loves to read, so Robyn snatched up a copy for her. Should we have a future Book Club episode on this book?!?! We’re thinking, yes.

Also, what are the odds that Will would have Bubbles blowing at his booth? It was truly meant to be!

Carla and Robyn also saw a FANTASTIC play at The Geffen Playhouse called Furlough’s Paradise. Written by a.k. payne & directed by Tinashe Kajese-Bolden.

Keep your eyes peeled, as we have a feeling you’ll be seeing more of this gorgeous play in the future.

And if you haven’t seen Elizabeth Moss’s dramatic interpretation of Sutton Strack on Watch What Happens Live you MUST watch. It’s a work of ART. You can watch it HERE.

Have you seen The Thrilling Adventure Hour? It’s “America’s favorite stage production in the style of old time radio”. And it’s Hilarious.

You can follow them at @thrillingadv. And they still have some dates on their current tour if you want to see them live - The Thrilling Adventure Hour Live

And last, but not least, Bravo is infiltrating Carla’s feed due to her love of Nicola Coughlan. Watch this moment when Nicola meets Stassi Schroeder!
