Today, we welcome the full moon in the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn. The sea-mountain goat rules ambition, profession, leadership, parenting, growth in the world, and responsibility.
This is the lunation known as Guru Purnima. In many traditions, we take the time to honor our teachers. And not just spiritual guides, but all of the mentors and wayshowers that inspire us and remove ignorance. It’s an important time to pay respects to these individuals and elements, seen and unseen.
In this episode, I discuss: 👇🏼👇🏾👇🏼👇🏾👇🏼
* Being asked to commit to our lives anew. To uplevel and grow up. Bolster our “adulting” chops. Heeding our soul’s movement toward significant change.
* The Sabian symbols for the “responsibility and maturity” Full Moon at 19 Capricorn/Cancer: A child of five carrying a heavy load of groceries. A priest performing a marriage ceremony.
* The death, grief, and courage arising with significant change.
* Large amounts of fear that may arise. This fear is not as much of a problem as we may think: we can still act, even while terrified, if our faith is in place.
* Faith as one gift of healthy teachers, or gurus or guides: they lead us back to our own heart’s fire and knowing.
* Mercury Retrograde coming soon - trickster/coyote energy afoot; stay loose!
* The crone/hermit/elder woman at the crossroads
* Regret and discomfort and the purpose of painful lessons
* How staying small and hiding our light can do more harm than good
* The importance of ritual, contemplation, and other nods to the psyche to amplify Divine help
* We can do it! We can grow! We can stop spinning our wheels and move into the next stage of life.
Such is the teaching of the full moon in Capricorn. Do you have the courage to change? To evolve? I believe you do. And today’s podcast just may help push you over the edge…or out of the nest, as the case may be.
Soar high, friends! The sky’s no limit!
