Yer,
Happy Reformation Day & All Hallow’s Eve
Sunday’s Sermon was a short one because we had a full service with payer, communion, Discipleship Talk Celebrations etc
Notes
Text: [Isa 51:1 NIV] 1 "Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the LORD: Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn;
[Psa 105:4 NIV] 4 Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.
[Heb 12:2 NKJV] 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of [our] faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
* Look at your choices, habits and decisions
We are born looking like our parents but we will die looking like our decisions.
[Ecc 12:13 NLT] 13 That's the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone's duty.
We have to keep looking at JESUS!
Look at jesus at the wedding
God loves weddings!
In Genesis 1 and 2, the Bible opens up with a woman and a man. In Revelation 21 and 22, the Bible closes with a woman and a man. The Bible opens up with a wedding, and it ends with a wedding. It opens with a marriage, and it ends with a marriage. It opens with a boy and a girl, and it ends with a boy and a girl. Your Bible is essentially a love story.
Jesus first miracle was at a wedding. He removes shame and make us look Good!
* Look at men and women of God
Look at peter go from afraid to anointed to martyr
His execution was ordered by the Roman Emperor Nero, who blamed the city's Christians for a terrible fire that had ravaged Rome. Peter requested to be crucified upside down, as he felt unworthy to die in the same manner as Christ.
Look at you in church today
Look at you beginning a deeper walk with Christ
Look at you walking with faith hope and love
Look at you contending for your crown, staying the course and stay encouraged.
