Our team decided to speak on Jobs and Homes/Apts from Easter to Mother’s Day. Here’s my quick sermon on our living condition. The good thing about preaching to smart and seasoned folks is I just have to touch on subjects and trust the Holy Spirit to help the folks make mental/spiritual connections, bring conviction and convincing of change.
Proverbs 24:3-4 — "By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.

Big Idea #1: Remember Jesus Favorite Place: Bethany
He was rejected from Bethlehem (there was no room for Him there), to Nazareth (a prophet is without honor in His own hometown), to His own family (His sisters and brothers didn’t believe on Him), to Samaria (James and John wanted the city to shake and bake for rejecting Jesus), to Jerusalem itself (which crucified Him). God in flesh was rejected everywhere He went.
During the six days preceding His crucifixion, Jesus visited Jerusalem in the daytime and retreated to Bethany to spend the night. He spent the last six nights of His earthly life in Bethany, where He found refuge, repose, safety, acceptance, and peace.
