Description

Ailise Blake makes music that’s hard to categorise, but grabbed me from the moment I put on her latest record Soave (out this Friday on These Hands Melt).

Interconnected with her practices in ceremonial magick, Soave is a highly evocative and atmospheric record, built around voice and guitar, but filled with a range of other instrumentation, to dark, dreamy and beguiling effect.

Ali and I discuss the unique circumstances and setting that the album was created in, magick, inspiration, touring and the importance of the visual side of art.
