Den of Thieves is a movie-length cover of Michael Mann’s Heat, except it takes place in a fantasy version of Los Angeles where bank robberies occur every 15 seconds and mobile banking apps do not exist. Pablo Schreiber and 50 Cent play the guys who seem to do all of them? And Ice Cube’s son plays a nerd who’s helping them but is also being bullied by Gerard Butler, who plays a cop WHO DOES SHIT BY HIS OWN RULES. Anyways this is a “movie for guys” so we had fun talking about what that means.
