Welcome to The Threshold Experience, a series of audiovisual meditations developed by Dr. Mitchell K. Jones
Part Two: Communion with the Dead
Hello, and welcome to another one of *The Threshold Experience* meditations. This is Part Two.
This meditation is meant to help you get in touch with the dead and experience communion with the dead, if not communication with the dead just yet.
This meditation utilizes the 18.98-hertz frequency, between 18.98 and 19 hertz, which is too low for humans to hear. However, it has been proposed that this frequency can cause subtle vibrations in the human eye and body that may contribute to unusual perceptual experiences. It is sometimes referred to as the "ghost frequency."
Here's how it works: infrasound falls below 20 hertz, the generally accepted lower threshold of human hearing. The 18.98-hertz frequency has been associated with the resonant frequency of the human eyeball, which can cause it to vibrate slightly. Some researchers have suggested that this may produce blurry spots or gray shapes in peripheral vision.
These effects have sometimes been connected with reports of seeing apparitions. In one well-known account, researcher Vic Tandy experienced a sudden chill and reported seeing a gray figure in his laboratory. He later discovered that a faulty extractor fan was generating an approximately 19-hertz infrasound wave.
There are also environmental sources of infrasound. In some ways, this meditation builds on the previous *Threshold Experience* meditation by incorporating sounds such as white noise, wind, and waves.
I've paired this audio experience with a guided meditation based on the work of Andrew Jackson Davis, particularly his ideas about the Summerland and spiritual communion. There is some vocal guidance at the beginning, as well as at the very end.
So enjoy, and I hope this helps facilitate your contact with the Other World.
