Earlier this week, we shared an update from Pastor Erich Kussman about what’s been happening at Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey. As we continue to lift up the voices of people who are directly impacted by the Trump regime’s policy violence, I was especially moved by the testimony of Ashley Batz, a high school student in New Jersey who joined protests in solidarity with the hunger and labor strike there and ended up going to jail herself this week. I was glad to partner with The Save America Movement today to talk with her about her experience and what this moment requires of each of us.
