Artificial intelligence (AI), sometimes called machine intelligence, is intelligence demonstrated by machines, in contrast to the natural intelligence displayed by humans and other animals. The eventual goal being intelligent machines that can think and act in our stead, analyzing data we are unable to and performing tasks that we are not willing to do. But can machines truly be intelligent? And has AI really left the realm of 80’s science fiction and entered our reality?
