The key to position is understanding the condition. The claim that humans choose Christ is deplorable - as Ephesians 1:4 tells us, 'He chose us in Him.' The first puts the emphasis on efforts of a fallen race, the second places the action upon the sovereign foreknowing God choosing according to His knowledge of just who will open their hearts to Him - something He knew before the foundation of the earth. Housed within our identity in Christ rests the God sized reality that we are already Holy and blameless before Him, any other notion promotes an identity crisis!
