"Grace" has been a much used, misused, and abused word and teaching in traditional “Christian” theological thinking. It has always amazed me how self-proclaimed “Christians” can twist the meaning of one of the most powerful words in the New Testament to be defined almost opposite to God’s intended meaning – almost turning it into a demonic doctrine!
Because of such semantic revisionism, the Biblical word "grace" is for many Christ followers today almost a meaningless word, while for others, it has taken the form of “permission-based” acceptance of sin.
