A Stoic Crisis‑Moment Reset

a Guided Meditation for the Stoic Seeking a Reset Amid Strife

Take one slow breath in. Let a longer breath out.

Feel your feet on the ground. Feel the weight of your body. Let this simple contact with this singular Present Moment steady you.

Slow inhale..., slower exhale...

Now remind yourself of the Stoic truth:

Some things - are within my control. Some things - are not.

Let the world’s noise, urgency, and confusion fall into the category of ‘not mine to control.’ Let your breath, your posture, your next choice fall into the category of ‘mine to control.’

Take another slow inhale - Imagine a small circle drawn around you - your circle of control. Inside it: your clarity, your response, your character. Outside it: everything else.

You don’t need the storm to quiet. You only need to return to what is yours.

Say silently:

“I choose my response.”

Feel the strength in that. Feel the steadiness returning.

One more breath... Long on the exhale...

You are here. You are steady. You can meet this moment.

Thank you.
