Description

This episode is a particularly vivid one! I am talking with Judith Kleinman in Person in London, sitting in her Kitchen and together exploring the wonderful tools the Alexander Technique has to offer to us to find more ease, space and connection within ourselves and thereby to the world around.

Judith Kleinman trained as a musician at the Guildhall school of Music. She went on to train to be an Alexander teacher as well as a Tai chi and Yoga teacher.
Judith teaches at The Royal College of Music and The junior Academy of Music alongside being a co Head of Training at the LCATT Alexander Training School (LCATT) Judith collaborates with Sue Merry on the Developing Self project (see links below) and The Ready List project for the public (The ready list, see link below). She has co written the book 'The Alexander Technique for Musicians’ with her husband Peter Buckoke and 'The Alexander Technique for Young Musicians'. Recently Judith wrote “Finding Quiet Strength” to share her approach to self regulation and connections to wellbeing through Thought, Movement, Touch and Breath.

In this conversation with Judith you will learn about …

What Alexander Technique is and how to Judith came to learn this art
How the Alexander Technique offers so wonderful and potent tools to find what Judith calls «Quiet strength» - this soft spot where we feel at ease and safe within ourselves and we can touch into the bodys wisdom and allow the body to undo rather than so forcefully trying to correct ourselves.
A little Alexander Technique sequence you can do anytime whilst sitting on a chair which helps you discover this quality of quiet strength within yourself
How our body and nervous system constantly seek for a place of safety and «feeling home» any how for Judith the Alexander Technique is the ongoing path to come back home to herself
Life is a play, a practice and we don't have to get it right or perfect!
