Description

Hello and welcome to another episode of the podcast «The breathing body». My name is Flurina and I am your host -  and I am so happy that you are here.

This conversation was very meaningful to me as I have been talking to another wonderful Alexander Technique teacher, Delia Rosenboom. Delia found to the Alexander Technique with 14 years of age, the age with which I had my first Alexander Technique lesson too, in Switzerland. It deeply resonated with me  when Delia shared how the Alexander Technique opened a doorway to «this other experience of life» - a world where sensation and feelings are welcomed and where one is encouraged to follow the path our own curiosity and excitement is carving - and a world where we receive touch which enables us to dive even deeper into sensation and feeling - which then opens doors for change and healing.

Yes, another conversation about the power of  being, listening and following our intuition - which is our greatest gift and our best teacher. Delia s work was born purely out of her own life journey, and experience and her body, not from books or degrees … and that in itself is so inspirational.

About Delia:

Delia`s interest in self-transformation began at 14, which was the age she discovered the Alexander Technique and since never looked back! She trained as an Alexander Technique teacher with 17 and graduated from Don Burton’s Fellside Alexander School in 1989. Following personal experiences she became a pioneer for a more sensitive, intuitive and ‘listening’ approach to the Alexander work in relation to clients experiencing shock, trauma or grief.

Delia also trained in the psycho-neuro-immunology-based healing method – ‘The Journey’ and has expanded on this work through trainings in Neuro Linguistic Programming and also with the Positive Intelligence’s Mental Fitness training . In 2017 Delia created The South East Alexander School, a professional Alexander Technique teacher training program, holistically addressing the physical and also the emotional, energetic and psychological aspects of Alexander work as an integrated part of the training.

Delia also offers regular  ‘HeartSong Acappella singing’ workshops, choirs, vocal trainings and breath work, all underpinned by Alexander work and positive psychology and she also works with bioresonance to optimise health and raise energy levels.

In her own words she says «I love to work creatively, with people who are ready and eager to change, grow and further develop! My specialities are in working with individuals post-surgery, with those experiencing life changing events, grief or trauma… and with anyone truly ready to dive deeply into a process of self-discovery!»

In the conversation with Delia we talked about …
