What Does “Familiar” Feel Like ?
After returning to Atlanta for a few weeks of rest, celebration, and reconnection — I found myself wrapped in the familiar. Family dinners, visits with friends, and reconnection over stories that felt like home. But one unexpected conversation at a local bar made me consider that familiarity isn’t always about a place…it’s a feeling. In this episode, I share an encounter that left a lasting impression. I realized that the most familiar parts of us don’t disappear when life changes instead they travel with us.

BEING Quiet.
I took a few weeks to return to Atlanta. To be present. To be still. To celebrate milestones. To watch my daughter inch closer to high school graduation. To remember the comfort of familiar.
Familiarity Isn’t Just Geography
It’s not just where you live. It’s how you feel when you arrive.
Familiarity can comfort or stir up what’s unhealed. It can anchor or gently push us forward.
Even when everything around you changes. The most important parts of you don’t disappear.
They follow you. They find you. They root you.
And that’s what familiar really feels like.
