Welcome to Issue 10!
Hello and welcome to It’s Kismet, a weekly curated list of holistic health content I thought was worth sharing with more people. I’m sorry that last week’s newsletter wasn’t sent to everyone. I’ve been receiving so many messages from you all that you didn’t get last week’s Dose of Holistic Health and seems like there were some technical difficulties! So I am sharing last week’s newsletter with you today. Let’s dive in!
As the weather is becoming more and more beautiful, I’m starting to crave more outside time. Time with nature, the sun, the grass…you know. So I finally signed up for a group rock climbing class and…I completely fell in love. I mean, I’ve climbed before but never outdoors. Being out there, on a huge rock created over millennia by the forces of nature, makes you feel so alive and capable. It feels like you can do anything!
But…it also reminds you of how much you don’t give yourself enough time to do things like that. At least that’s how I felt. Within my euphoria, there was a twinge of sadness too. Last year, when I lost my pup, I gave up on so many things I loved because nothing seemed important after holding him in my arms and watching life leave his little body. I’ve slowly been clawing my way out of that cloud and being on top of that rock, feeling that twinge of sadness, finally made me see what I’ve been missing out on and that I’m ready to give life another chance. I deserve to be happy again.
This weeks thoughts started with beautiful weather and ended at how grief can take it’s toll. What a roller coaster! My point is, no matter what life is throwing you right now, just know that you will have your moment of clarity, healing, and actualization. It might even be on top of a huge rock in the middle of nowhere! 😎
In the mean time, check out this beautiful meditation for happiness. – Lili

”….and now Yoga.
This is the opening sentence of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, which you could call the “bible” of yoga. It means you’ve tried all kinds of things for your happiness. You turned in many directions. In the end they didn’t work....
And now you’ve found yoga.”

“You have probably seen it in supermarkets, health stores and even restaurants: Kombucha. This effervescent fermented tea is sometimes called an “elixir of life” by those who extoll its supposed health benefits. But what is it, and how is it made? And where might these health benefits come from?”
