“Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature -- the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.” —Rachel Carson
Welcome to Issue 12!
Hello and welcome to It’s Kismet, a weekly curated list of holistic health content I thought was worth sharing with more people.
How many hours do you sit everyday?
Do you think about that tiny little factor of your daily life at all?
Because I do. I think about it more than I’d like to. I have been working from home for a few years now and ‘sitting’ has become more and more a norm for me. I sit so often that I now have to remind myself to stand!
Thinking about our health holistically, sitting, standing or walking all make HUGE differences in our lives. As much as no one likes to admit it, we’ve all become way to sedentary. So I’ve set a new goal for myself: a 1-hour walk everyday and working-while-standing for half of each work day.
I don’t know if it’s possible or how successful I will be, but I owe it to my health to give it a try and I think it is a good place to start. How about you? – Lili
