🎧 intro (00:00–01:00)Good morning. It’s Thursday, September 11th, and this is the record🗞️.Before we continue, let’s begin with to honoring the lives that passed and the first responders who saved lives n 9/11 in 2001Second, I want to issue a gun violence conversation warning to make sure you are aware of what the subject matters of today’s show will be.

Today’s show is about political violence, cover-ups, and systems failing the very people they promised to protect. From Evergreen High School and Charlie Kirk’s assassination, to Trump’s Oval Office blame game, to 9/11 responders still being left behind, and Britain caught in yet another Epstein scandal—this isn’t chaos. This is the news. And I’m done watching it get sanitized. Let’s go.

🗞️ 1: Evergreen High School shooting What’s happening: A teenage student opened fire at Evergreen High School, about 30 miles outside Denver. He shot three classmates before fatally turning the gun on himself.

What to know: Of the three victims taken to St. Anthony Hospital, one has died, another is in critical condition, and the third is stable. Responding officers never fired a shot—the gunman died by suicide. Parents rushed to reunite with their children, and some students sheltered in nearby homes with residents until it was safe.

My take: The kids of Evergreen are still fighting for their lives in a hospital, while the rest of us are already being told to move on. But this isn’t background noise. This is the price we’re still paying for politicians protecting the gun lobby instead of children.

🗞️ 2: Charlie Kirk killed + Trump response What’s Happening:Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot during a public event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on September 10, 2025. The shooting occurred during his "American Comeback Tour" while he was hosting a "Prove Me Wrong" debate session. A single shot struck Kirk in the neck, leading to his death shortly after the incident. The assailant reportedly fired from a building approximately 200 feet away and was dressed in all-black tactical gear, including a helmet and aviator glasses. A person of interest was initially detained but later released after questioning.

What to Know:The FBI and ATF are leading the investigation into the shooting. A high-powered, bolt-action rifle was recovered at the scene. The suspect remains unidentified, and authorities have not disclosed a motive. The shooting has been described as a "political assassination" by Utah Governor Spencer Cox. Trump's Response:

President Donald Trump condemned the shooting as a "dark moment for America," praising Kirk as "a tremendous person" and "a great guy from top to bottom." In an Oval Office address posted on Truth Social, Trump called Kirk "a martyr for truth and freedom" and blamed the "radical left" for fostering political rhetoric that incites violence. He vowed justice for those responsible and emphasized that Kirk’s legacy would endure.

My Take:Charlie Kirk's death is a stark reminder of the escalating political violence in the United States. While his rhetoric often sparked controversy, no individual should face violence for their beliefs. This tragedy underscores the urgent need for leaders to denounce political violence unequivocally and work towards a more civil discourse.

🗞️ 3: 9/11 responders betrayedWhat’s happening: On the anniversary of 9/11, thousands of first responders who ran toward the towers are still fighting the U.S. government for healthcare. The Victim Compensation Fund is running out, and Congress has stalled renewal efforts again.

What to know: More than 80,000 survivors and responders are sick from exposure, and new cancer cases keep emerging every year. Families say politicians love to show up for the photo ops, but disappear when it comes to funding medical bills.

My take: We’re told “never forget,” but forgetting is exactly what our government is doing. Twenty-three years later, the people who inhaled the dust are still paying with their bodies. It’s not patriotism if you abandon the very people who ran into the fire.

🗞️ 4: Epstein files shake Britain What’s happening: Britain is facing fresh fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. A London court unsealed files linking Epstein’s network to political donors and at least one sitting Member of Parliament..

What to know: The documents include flight logs, financial records, and a list of high-profile visitors to his UK properties. While Buckingham Palace isn’t directly named this round, the papers reignited questions about accountability at the highest levels.

My take: America has done everything to bury Epstein’s story, but Britain is still cracking open the files. That’s not justice—it’s a reminder of how deep the rot goes. Power protects itself, until it doesn’t.

🎧 gut check So here we are. A school shooting where kids are still in hospital beds. A political assassination that’s already being weaponized. A President who’d rather inflame than protect. A country that forgets its heroes once the cameras are gone. And a world still haunted by Epstein’s shadow.

The gut check is this: violence is the through line. Gun violence in schools, political violence on stage, systemic violence against responders, and the silent violence of cover-ups. We keep being told these are separate stories. They’re not. They’re one story: a system that chooses power over people, again and again.
