Once you see it….

Ever wake up in the middle of the night and get a jolt of clarity? It’s 3:29 am and I just had a sudden realization. I understand that this comparison is not new. I’ve heard the word abolitionists before, but it didn’t click. And this wasn’t something I was even thinking about before so it must have come from “outside” my own thoughts.

I was trying to go back to sleep after being awakened as always by my husband leaving early for work when out of the blue I saw it: the abortion rights movement is exactly like slave owners fighting for the “right” to own slaves, (which also included the right to beat, rape, or murder them).

Abortion rights arguments are no different than arguing for the right to slavery.

Slave owners fought a terrible, deadly war over this supposed right to own other human beings. They truly believed that their lives and livelihoods were under threat from those who wanted to end slavery and protect the rights of these human beings. They believed that unless they could own slaves they themselves were not free .

Do you see it yet?

This is absolutely no different than women who believe that their “right” to kill a living human being is under threat. They fight for this and vote based on it , just like slave owners did, and they get very angry when alternatives are offered. They truly believe that their lives and livelihoods are at risk and their right to convenience and control over their womb matters more than the life of another human being.

Have you ever seen the hysteria these abortion rights activists display when their rights are threatened? It’s no different than the rage of slave owners back in the days when cotton plantation owners were defending their financial interests ! But they are so blinded by their own feelings of entitlement and superiority that they can’t see it.

Still don’t see it ? Slave owners thought that they had a right to own slaves despite the truth that slaves were humans! Abortion rights activists say that women have a right to kill unborn children despite the fact that they are humans. Both argue from their own perspective of controlling what belongs to them. Both put their own rights above the rights of another person. Both have ulterior motives for their beliefs and are often supported by those who have their own interests, such as men who don’t want to be financially or personally responsible for a child . No one ever aborted a baby because it was more fair to the baby. No one ever owned a slave to benefit the slave.

Wow. I was never in favor of abortion before, but this new perspective just blows me away.

May God open the eyes of all women !
