Description

Between his election and and inauguration, Abraham Lincoln had many preparations to complete. When South Carolina finally bit the bullet after decades of Secessionist threats, it up-ended the politics of a nation. Lincoln, however, affected little concern in public. Yet behind the scenes he immediately began to devise a strategy for resolving it.
