Description

On September 8, 1934, the Morro Castle caught fire on its return trip from Havana to New York. The disaster was a potpourri of startling circumstances, from the captain dying to the ship being caught between two storms. Ultimately at least 137 people were killed and the ship was left as a burning hulk on a New Jersey beach. But that is just the beginning of the story.

In this episode we talk about the disaster and what happened, but also dive into one of the radio operators, his potential involvement in the disaster, and his psychopathic tendencies.

Also, we are trying something new this week and posting two versions of the podcast. One is our normal podcast, and the other is more of a “just the facts” podcast that is a shorter version. Tell us which you like better! And thanks for listening!
