The so-called concept of ‘Love Jihad’ has been discussed and deliberated across the country. Love jihad is a term extensively used to describe a conspiracy that allegedly seeks to convert Hindu women (and just women) to Islam through marriage. Several states across India have enacted laws prohibiting forceful conversions and ‘love jihad’ in this context.
