Luke has been moving toward the cross and the events surrounding it.
Luke 22 shows how these events were a “battle” between Satan and God - who would come out victorious and who would be defeated?
It’s a reminder of the very first prophecy of Christ from the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:15).
