In Acts 6, the growth of the church has led to a problem. Some of the widows in need are being neglected, and the situation is more than the apostles can handle on their own.
So, the apostles ask the church to choose mature, godly men to handle this important work so the apostles can continue to focus on their role in the Lord’s church.
