Steve Benen, longtime political writer, now producer for Rachel Maddow who writes the MaddowBlog, wrote the book on the subject last year. MINISTRY OF TRUTH: DEMOCRACY, REALITY, AND THE REPUBLICANS' WAR ON THE RECENT PAST should be required reading for everyone as it examines the warped alternate reality under which we are trying to exist.
