Democratic voters in New York City have shifted from pro-Israel to pro-Palestine in the last 8 years, and those voters chose Zohran Mamdani in the mayoral primary race, but they were overwhelmingly White middle class. Black working-class voters rejected Mamdani and chose Andrew Cuomo.
