YAM in the BAG growing in your own backyard. There is tremendous joy and happiness when you harvest your grown food, it's fresh, clean, free from pesticides and other chemicals.

Get recircleable materials bags, deep old pots, buckets, etc
Get your nice humus soil and compost
Good location, placing the bags and yam set in a very safe corner, with plenty of room for sunlight, this enhances photosynthesis for the crop.
Regular inspection is important.
Take a look at the photo above, the noteworthy thing to do is ensure there is room for (spacing) effluent flow off, easy trellis for the yam stem and exposure to sunlight.
Especially if you farm on paved floor. This yam farmer got away with the location, soil water absorbtion rate in that area. He practiced what we called land intensification, but if you are planning to plant you yam n bag on a pavement.
