In today’s Gospel, Jesus meets a sinful woman, who anoints his feet with oil. Jesus tells her that her sins are forgiven. Forgiveness is far deeper than the mere “cancellation” of sin. And receiving forgiveness from Jesus changes what we are capable of giving to others who’ve wounded us. Marcus has more.
