So, I really love my show. And my guests. And I try not to pick favorites, but OH, I might have to break that rule.
I loved this show. I loved this conversation. I love these women. I could talk to them all day.
In case it doesn’t come through immediately, short take: progressives and moderates want the same exact things. But there are real reasons for the divide between the groups, and those reasons aren’t about who wants a bigger social net and who wants slow change. It’s not about policy. It’s not even about speed. It’s about fear. And betrayal by people you trusted to do better. And the feeling that people simply can’t take any more.
I started this conversation thinking we’d end up one place. We landed somewhere else completely. Someplace far far better. And spoiler alert: talking to each other in respect is the only way to get there. I know…
