Nearly 1,000 researchers responded to AI’s capability trajectory by publishing Humanity’s Last Exam, a 2,500-question benchmark engineered so that any question a current AI system could answer was removed before release. The most advanced models available today score just below 50%.
Virginia’s legislature voted 96-0 to classify solar panels as consumer appliances requiring no utility permission - the second state in the country to do so, with 30 similar bills introduced elsewhere. PJM Interconnection became the first grid operator to adopt ambient-adjusted transmission ratings, unlocking 15% to 40% more capacity from wires already in the ground. And University of Geneva researchers published findings in *Nature Metabolism* showing that a mirror-image amino acid called D-cysteine shuts down cancer cell metabolism through a transporter found only on tumor surfaces, leaving healthy tissue untouched.
