Description

I’ve been working on this cover a bit. I love the song as it expresses so much of how I often feel when I come before the Lord. I cannot bring anything but my gratitude and a hallelujah. Before the Lord, what are we really?

This morning the Bible study was from Exodus. Me and the kiddos discussed the incredible moment between Moses and G-d where Moses is able to seemingly shift G-d’s heart on a matter. The debate over whether we can change G-d’s mind rages in Christian circles and yet, between G-d and Moses we see it seem to happen more than once.

Can G-d be swayed by our prayers? Does He have that kind of a Fatherly heart? One where we can go before Him with our sincerest and most honoring prayers and He will lean in and concede?

I’m not sure how all of that works exactly, but I know this, prayer is powerful.

Today as we celebrate the last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, I’m grateful for a G-d who loves deeply. A G-d who tells us to pray and spend time with Him because He loves our company. A G-d who doesn’t need us, but who wants us and whose plans for us are beautiful and healing.

I’m grateful that He is the unleavened bread. The One without sin. The One whose stripes of blood poured out made payment for the debt that we all owe. Today I’m grateful. I hope you are as well and I hope you enjoy this piano version of a beautiful worship song by Brandon Lake.

Blessings,

Rachel
