It’s time to stop losing the identity wars, especially when the Biblical identity given to the Believer could be winning in every corner of the globe. We can get this right, but we need to think more clearly about our words. Words matter, and we misuse words, concepts and ideas to the detriment of our testimony.
You are made in the image of the G-d of all. Your destiny is to be with Him and to be His child. Let’s discuss what it will take to really claim all that G-d declares over us and to stop doing Satan’s work. The adversary already delineates your wretchedness, you don’t have to join him.
Now, I know, sometimes we feel broken because life is such a challenge. It can be painful, dreadful, and filled with suffering. Yet, I’m coming to understand that enduring suffering does not make you broken, it makes you more like your Savior. What He endured and how He lived was nothing but strength and fullness in the eyes of the Kingdom of Heaven. If the joy of the Lord is our strength, then we are called to draw from that joy even in suffering. In prison like Paul, in martyrdom like the disciples, in all the places of injustice and loss, G-d still abides. He is not done yet. We cannot judge what He is doing or allowing yet either.
Your body may be broken, but in the strength of the joy of the Lord, your spirit doesn’t have to be. Your testimony is not one of brokenness, not if Yeshua has rescued you. Be uplifted. Your life will NOT be perfect. But it can be filled with Shalom (wholeness).
Be whole my brothers and sisters.
