The beautiful repetition of light themes in Scripture may be more than just analogies and depictions. Perhaps G-d has always intended to restore to us an element of our likeness to Him that was lost in the Garden of Eden. In any case, light gives us quite a characteristic of the G-d of the Bible that deserves a deeper study.
