Lyrics:

Hi there, heroes. My name is David Burnell.I’ve spent my life helping people stay safein rescues, in emergencies, and in everyday life.

Today, I want to help you learn how to be brave, how to be smart, and how to be safe.

This is A Children’s Guide to Gun Safety.Let’s begin.

Hi, I’m Mr. Burnell.I’ve been all over the world helping people when things got tough.I’ve seen storms, fires, and rescues, and I learned something important. The bravest people are the ones who know how to stay safe.

And that means you can be brave too.You just need to learn how.

Some tools can fix things. Some tools can save lives. But some tools, like fire, medicine, and guns, are only for grown-ups.

They’re not bad. They’re just powerful. And powerful things deserve respect.

Here’s the most important rule I teach everywhere I go.

If you ever see a gun, stop right away.Don’t touch it.Walk away.Tell a grown-up.

Say it with me.Stop. Don’t touch. Walk away. Tell. Those four steps can keep you safe.

One sunny day, Mateo saw something shiny by the swings. It looked like a toy,but something inside him whispered, Wait.

He remembered the rule.He stopped. He didn’t touch. He walked away and told his teacher.

The teacher called the police, who took the gun away.Mateo was brave, smart, and safe.

At Mia’s sleepover, her friend showed her something in the closet.“Look, it’s my dad’s,” said her friend.

Mia remembered what Mr. Burnell taught. She said, “We shouldn’t touch that. Let’s go tell your mom.”

She stopped.She didn’t touch.She walked away.And she told.

That’s what heroes do.

Stop, don’t touch, walk away, tell. It’s the safety song you know so well.Be brave, be smart, be safe each day.Heroes live and learn this way.

When something doesn’t feel safe, tell someone who can help.

You can tell your parents,a teacher,a police officer,or a firefighter.

They’ll know what to do.That’s their job.

Being safe isn’t just about what we don’t touch. It’s about what we do share.

Kind words.Helping hands.Respect for each other.

That’s how we show real strength.

Some people think bravery means being loud or tough. But real courage is staying calm, making smart choices, and keeping others safe.

That’s what it means to be brave, smart, and safe.

Let’s make our hero’s promise together.

I promise to be brave.I promise to be smart.I promise to be safeand to help others from the heart.

Good job, heroes.

You don’t need a uniform to be a hero. You just need to care,to think, and to do the right thing.

Every time you make a safe choice, you make the world a little better.

Be brave. Be smart. Be safe. And remember, you are a hero.
