The Malakoff Tigers are undefeated at 7-0 and haven't allowed an opponent to score in their past three games. The Eustace Bulldogs are 0-6 and haven't broken double-digit scoring in their past three games.

The two teams will meet on Friday in Malakoff.

Malakoff Coach Jamie Driskell said that Eustace always plays hard.

"Their kids have a lot of heart and they're going to play hard and they are going to get after us," he said. "Hopefully we continue to execute the way we have."

The Tiger defense has been executing at a very high level.

"The kids are really flying around," Coach Driskell said. "Coach Watkins and the defensive staff really give them a good game plan and the kids just buy in and they're flying around and playing fast."

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Coach Driskell's Next Win Is No. 150

Malakoff's next win will be No. 150 as a head coach for Coach Jamie Driskell, all coming with the Tigers.

Coach Driskell took over as head coach in Malakoff in 2009, and the Tigers have averaged more than 10 wins a game in his 15 years.

"It's been a lot of work from a lot of people," he said, "and it's been a whole lot of fun to be a part of it."

Coach Driskell and I talked about his time in Malakoff, the changes along the way, and my favorite memory from his first year. Listen to the podcast starting at the 4:12 mark.
