The 94th playing of the Blue-Gold Game, signifying the conclusion of spring drills, was held on Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium. Len Clark reports.
Spencer Porath’s 43-yard field goal as time expired gave the Blue team a 41-40 win over the Gold. Aneyas Williams and Jonaz Walton scored rushing touchdowns, while Devin Fitzgerald and Elijah Burress caught TD passes from freshman quarterbacks Blake Hebert and Noah Grubbs. Defensively, Jaylen Sneed led the Gold with four tackles and an interception. The Irish open the season at Lambeau Field in Green Bay against Wisconsin on Sunday, September 6th.
