Notre Dame had to grind for this one — and they did it without a field goal late. Len Clark reports.

Notre Dame beat Bellarmine 86–79 Wednesday night, surviving despite not scoring a field goal over the final four-and-a-half minutes. The Irish leaned on free throws and late-game defense while Bellarmine ran into heavy foul trouble, finishing with 17 fouls in the second half sending Notre Dame into the double bonus. The win pushes the Irish to 4–and-1 on the season as they head into the Players Era event in Las Vegas. Len Clark, Network Indiana.
