Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love has been named a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, awarded to the most outstanding player in college football. Len Clark reports.
Love becomes Notre Dame’s first Heisman finalist since Manti Te’o in 2012. He powered the offense with 1,372 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns, added three more through the air, averaged nearly seven yards a carry, and shattered the program’s single-season touchdown record with 21. Love is also a finalist for the Walter Camp, Maxwell, and Doak Walker awards. The Heisman Trophy will be awarded Saturday night in New York. Len Clark, Network Indiana.
