Notre Dame’s résumé — which includes 10 straight wins after two early-season losses by a combined total of four points, will wait to see if they will receive an at-large bid, with Alabama and Miami in the mix for the final spot. The committee has praised the Irish for consistency, strength of schedule, and quality wins, but the question remains on how much of a factor the head-to-head match win by the Hurricanes will be.
