Freshman quarterback CJ Carr threw for two touchdowns, while Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price combined for more than 180 yards on the ground and two touchdowns as the Fighting Irish rolled past Boise State, 28–7. The Irish defense came up big by forcing four Maddux Madsen interceptions and shutting down the Broncos’ air attack. It was a confidence game, but still Notre Dame is a work in progress.
