Notre Dame is 5-0, but Marcus Freeman says the Irish still have plenty to clean up heading into Saturday’s game against Stanford as Len Clark reports.
Freeman liked the way Notre Dame responded to adversity against North Carolina, especially running the football when the Tar Heels knew the run was coming. But the Irish coach says the pass defense must improve after breakdowns in man coverage and communication. That becomes important against Stanford quarterback Davis Warren, who Freeman says can find open receivers if given time. Kickoff time Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium 3:30 pm ET.
