Louisville used depth and late execution to pull away from Notre Dame in women’s basketball , winning 79–66 Thursday night in South Bend, Len Clark has more.

The key number: bench points. Louisville outscored the Irish 31–2 with its reserves. Notre Dame shot 56 percent from three, but scored just 10 points in the fourth quarter. Hannah Hidalgo led the Irish with 24 points and eight assists. Reyna Scott scored 20 to lead Louisville. Notre Dame falls to 12–5 overall and 4–3 in the ACC. The Irish head to UConn next Monday.
