For centuries, we’ve only been told to see God as He. That language has shaped how people view power, authority, and even themselves. It has created imbalance, making the masculine the default and the feminine something secondary.
But the Divine has no gender. God is beyond male or female. Yet, because the masculine has been emphasized for so long, the feminine side of God the side that nurtures, creates, comforts, heals, and restores has been hidden.
I know God is both masculine and feminine, beyond anything we can box in. But for centuries, only the masculine side has been spoken, prayed, and preached. The feminine was veiled, silenced. I didn’t choose a neutral term because neutrality can keep the imbalance hidden it can make it seem like both sides have always been equally honored, when they haven’t. By choosing She, I’m not denying the masculine, I’m restoring what was erased. It’s an act of balance, a way of lifting up the creative, nurturing, powerful feminine energy of God that has always been here but rarely named.
My choice to use She is not to erase the masculine, but to restore the balance.
When I say God as She, I am reminding us that the Divine is not limited. She is love, She is wisdom, She is power. She is the womb of creation. By speaking of God as feminine, I am opening a door for those who never saw themselves reflected in the Divine to finally feel included, seen, and embraced.
It’s also deeply personal. My music is healing work, and healing is often carried in the feminine current of energy the compassion, the intuition, the quiet strength. This language matches the frequency of what I was given.
So this isn’t about controversy. It’s about truth. It’s about honoring the fullness of God. And it’s about allowing the world to remember that the Divine can’t be boxed into one name, one image, or one pronoun.
May the wisdom within guide you, the freedom within carry you, and the love within remind you….it is already done!
