Description

Some impromptu thoughts on mental health research, treatment, my career journey, and what it’s meant to be a twin whose brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia two years ago — right as I was beginning graduate school as a research scientist at Brown.

I touch on what it’s been like to walk beside him, what schizophrenia has taught me about powerlessness and presence, and why I believe we need to approach mental illness research with the same urgency we bring to diseases like Alzheimer’s.

It’s a mix of personal story, professional experience, and scientific possibility.

Let me know whatcha think!
